A brooch lets you choose where the eye lands. Start with a plain surface and give the shape room to show.

On a tailored lapel

Pin the Latelita Andromeda Starburst Brooch — Silver to a plain blazer. Two zirconia-set starbursts in 925 sterling silver are joined by a double chain. The larger star uses a bar pin and the smaller a butterfly pin, so check that the fabric can support both attachment points.

With a winter scarf

Bring a substantial scarf together loosely, then place the brooch on a stable area. Check the fabric first: pins may mark delicate knits, so avoid loose threads and do not force either fastening through.

Against a simple coat

Let the two stars become the focal point on a plain coat. The larger star measures 2.5 × 2.5cm and the smaller 1.3 × 1.3cm; the shortest connecting chain is 7cm. Position both pins so the chain can hang freely without pulling the fabric.

Styling questions

Where should you place a brooch?

Try a tailored lapel, a sturdy section of scarf or a plain coat. Choose one visible position and keep surrounding jewellery simple so the motif remains clear.

Can a brooch damage delicate fabric?

A pin can leave a mark or catch loose threads. Check the fabric and fastening first, avoid fine or loosely knitted areas, and do not force the pin through resistant fabric.
